PCMC baby quilts for Christmas...
With Christmas only 84 days away I am feeling the crunch to get going on my PCMC NICU Christmas baby quilt and hat project. Thanks to my cute little sister Chanelle, I no longer need to worry about making or collecting knit hats.....she has been kitting away and made them all!!! She is so talented and giving and I honestly don't know what I would do without her. Since she is done working on my project she is now taking custom orders!!! If you'd like to order a personalized super cute, cosy knit hat for anyone you love just go to "The Enchanted Princess" she can make them in any color and size...thinking Christmas ;)!! Thanks again Chanelle, and to all those who have sent blankets already and who have offered to help, you ROCK!! I am still looking for anyone that would like to donate baby blankets, so if you'd like to help contact me at rrcundick@hotmail.com....Thanks soooooo much!!

Brighton vs Alta
Jackson's team played Alta today and although we lost the boys all played great. Jackson had a great run that help his team get a touch down but getting a touchdown of his own still alludes him. He played on defense this week in the last half and did a great job. He looks forward to getting a touchdown of his own and learning "how to get hit without being afraid or hurt". Way to go Bengals!!

Violin, what???
If you haven't seen these two young men which are brothers you are missing out they are called Nuttin' but Stringz and they are amazing. It is so sad the public schools have cut all music programs saying they are purely elective. I played some type of instrument all trough elementary and junior high and wished that my sons could as well. We again watched another mesmerizing performance last night form these very talented young men to which Jackson exclaimed "I want to play the violin" I was stunned.....it has been sports, sports, sports and more sports but I guess I need to find a way and the time for my sons to explore their musical talents. What a great example these to young men are showing that playing an instrument can and IS cool!!

Unwanted milestone.....
Last night it happened, with 3 boys it was bound to happen sooner or later but I would have like it later, much much later. Ayden crashed on Jackson's electric scooter and I heard the scream and then saw the blood. He was covered and there was a trail leading from the scene of the accident into my kitchen and bathroom. I quickly grabbed a cold wet towel and had him lay down, bad idea all the blood caused him to choke. I tried not to panic something I do at any sight of blood or injury on the boys and assessed the damage. His face was swollen and he had a huge gash under his chin so I piled up all the boys and headed to the ER. Ayden was sobbing in the seat, terrified because I said "looks like you need stitches"...what was I thinking. Luckily I got a hold of Ryan's mom and she quickly came and got Jackson and Landon and took them home, feed them dinner and got them ready for bed *thank you*. The Dr. quickly said that they needed and x-ray of his nose and that "yeap, you'll need stitches and looks like the road broke your nose" trying to lighten things up a bit. The x-ray confirmed that his little nose was broken but that at this young age they don't do anything "it will be swollen and very sore" What I thought?? He just said to watch for breathing difficulty out of it and then if needed to follow up with a ENT doctor. Next came the stitches....Ayden was a trooper, he didn't cry at all except in the beginning he sobbed "I want my daddy" 8 stiches later it was over and he sighed with relief. He also has a concussion and will need to stay home form school for 2 days or until the swelling goes down in his face. I guess I was lucky to not have had to take one of my son's to the ER for stitches yet but poor Ayden...his 7th birthday is next Thursday, nice present to get his stitches out!! Ahhhh, the joys of being a mom to boys, don't get me started on the clean up.......I needed the crime scene clean up unit :)

Jackson's football game vs Hunter
Jackson's team played Hunter this afternoon and they did a great job....we won!! Jackson had 2 great runs which help move the ball towards 2 touchdowns!! He almost had an interception too. It was a great game and we look forward with anticipation until he makes a touchdown. Way to go Jackson's Blue Bengals!! Enjoy the highlight video I made of the game :)
Ayden's Black Scorpions
Ayden had his 2nd soccer game today and it was so much fun. His team played against his friend from Jackson's football team Brayden. I found myself cheering for both boys and they BOTH did a great job. Way to go Ayden's Scorpions and Brayden's Sharks!!

One more thing to add on my plate...
As many of you know I have this "little" obsession with Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. If you are wondering I am totally "Team Edward" and a member of TwilightMoms. I am patiently waiting for the movie release in only 69 more days and while researching all the different events and premiers I have become a member of "Team Alice" which is the official Twilight Movie Premire Committee for the TwilightMoms Utah Event!! So if I didn't have enough on my plate I have added one more thing and to be honest, I am so excited. I hope my "human talents" can assit the rest of the committe to make the premire event memoriable for all of us addictied to Twilight. Wish me luck *LOL*

We will never forget.....
Liz and I took the little kids to the "Healing Field" in Sandy today to remember all those lost on September 11, it was very emotional. Landon and Alex were in awe of all the flags and happily played under them not knowing the terrible tragedy that they represented. Today, there are 1,776 Flags -- 60 of them have the name of a Utah soldier who was killed. Each yellow bow represents a Utah soldier killed while serving since 9/11. It's absolutely overwhelming, looking at the sacrifice that others have made so we can be here today and have our freedom to enjoy this beautiful experience.

Play Date??
Alex came over to play with Landon this afternoon and while I was doing some laundry I thought to myself, I haven't heard the kids in a while and that is usually not a good thing because 2 year olds can make a disaster in no time. When I peeked into my room this is what I found....guess they were both to tired for playing and needed a nap :) Alex didn't much like the flash of my camera and peeked for a minute but went back to dreamland what a great "play date"!!
Puffy Paint "Fun"
I was recruited by my friend Liz to help her with her "Mrs. Fun" project in Jackson and Christian's 4th grade class. We racked our brains for a cute idea and came up with nothing, but thanks to Katie Liz's little sister who had a great idea we were head in the right direction to be Mrs. and Mrs. Fun :) We headed to the store to get all the ingredients: equal parts self rising flour, salt and water oh and food coloring...you mix it all together until it looks similar to frosting. Then comes the fun part, drawing your picture on card stock....not so easy with thick paint and not to mention that every time I got it on my fingers I licked it, can you say yuck!! Once your picture is done you just pop it in the microwave for roughly 30 seconds and *tada* you have a puffy cute 3D picture :) The kids all loved it and made some very cute pictures except for a few boys who just mixed all the colors together until it looked like baby poop and globed it on the paper...grrrr boys!! Landon and Alex came along to help and were very good. So now Liz and I are officially Mrs. "Fun" Cundick and Mrs. "Fun" Heugly if you please ;)

Soccer
Ayden started soccer again and is on The Black Scorpions!! His first game was Saturday morning and he played goalie and did a great job. Ryan is one of his coaches and Ayden thinks that is the best. Landon is quickly following in Ayden's footsteps and can't wait to play soccer too. We look forward to a fall of crazy Saturdays full of soccer and football....see you on the field!

Getting Jiggy
Last night after football we went to dinner with our good friends the Heugly's, Nance's and Geisler's to Joe's Crab Shack. We love it because all the kids can play and we can visit....we all shared some good laugh's last night ;) When we were leaving (at 11:15 PM) all the kids started dancing to the music playing outside, I quickly grabbed my camera (I never go anywhere without it *lol*) It was so cute to watch them all dancing and some of them really "got moves". It was dark so I am sorry it isn't brighter...Enjoy!!
