All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. ~Walt Disney

Just a warning...

“Yet another mess!!!” Mom yelled at me quite loud.
But it’s a new mess so you’d think that she’d be proud.
***Landon's Thinking

This is want happens when mommy to goes to use the restroom. Just in 2 or 3 minutes Landon made this gooey wet mess! I had gone to Costco this morning to pick up some of the essentials that we were out of and picked up the boys all hot dogs along with ketchup, mustard and relish. It amazes me at just how fast he can get into things when I turn my back for even a second....

Jackson's almost a Wolf......

Jackson earned his Basketball Belt Loop and 3 beads at Pack meeting. He also lead the flag ceremony to mark off one of his last requirements towards becoming a Wolf. He has been working very hard by cleaning up the church grounds and other service projects. His Grandpa Cundick has helped him learn all about tools and even helped him build a kite and boat! Jackson is very excited to build his "Pine wood Derby" car with is dad this month. We are so proud of him.

GOAL....

Ayden started spring soccer Saturday and had a great time playing. His team is called the Blue Dragons. It was a very cold and windy spring morning but he had a good attitude and played from the heart. Grandpa and Grandma Cundick fought the cold and brought Winny to come cheer him on. He scored 3 goals and loves to kick the ball. He enjoyed a nice warm bubble bath when we got home. Way to go Ayden!!

Ryan's still got skills.......

Ryan showed Jackson and Ayden his skateboard skills on Saturday even though it felt more like winter than spring....Ryan's still got skills!! I was secretly praying that he didn't fall and hurt himself. Jackson and Ayden were amazed that their dad could ride a skateboard.

Landon "Born To Be Wild".....

Even though it was freezing outside and there was a very chilly wind blowing, Landon had spring fever and had to ride his "Harley". He was having so much fun and even tried to ride it backwards until his fingers got so cold they hurt! After about an hour with his cheeks rosy red from cold and wind he said "cold mommy" and was done for the day.

Now add up the total number of points.
OVER 60 POINTS : Others see you as someone they should 'handle with care.' You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.
51 TO 60 POINTS : Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up
31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.
UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

Do you like Disney as much as I do???

Take the quiz and post your scores....

"What Would You Do.......

I have been watching the series on ABC Primetime "What would you do?" little did I know that I would be faced with this situation this afternoon. While driving to get my son from school I turned the corner to see a group of boys harassing another group of boys. As I got closer I could hear them yelling and then my heart feel into my stomach, one of the boys was holding something that was shining in the sunlight, a large kitchen knife! I panicked pulled over and franticly looked for my cell phone to call the police. I didn't have my phone, I had left it on the kitchen counter. I didn't know what I was going to do but I guess my "mommy instincts" kicked in. I was frightened at what would happen but had to do something, I rolled down my window and stared yelling at the boys, I lied telling them that I had called the police and started honking my horn as tears ran down my face (more of anger than of sadness). A man in a truck soon passed and asked me what was going on and I told him to call the police that one of the boys had a kitchen knife. The man quickly jumped out of his truck and called the police. Most of the boys ran and the boy with the knife took off down the cross street. Within a minute the police were there. I was shaking and was wondering in the back of my head what would have happened if I didn't come around the corner when I did. I explained to one of the officers what had happened and tried to calm down. He told me I could go but asked if they could contact me later if they needed to. As I drove to get Jackson I remembered the series that I watched last week called "what would you do?" and quickly reflected on my actions to the frighting situation. For me there was absolutely no question to whether I would get involved, children (14-15 year old boys) were involved and being a mother I saw no alternative. In the ABC Primetime series, passer byers were confronted with a similar situation of a group of teens harassing and abusing a homeless man and I was shocked that so many people passed by doing and saying nothing. I can't imagine if my son's had to face something like this and if someone would have stepped in to help before something terrible happened. I guess we all need to reflect on what we would do in a situation were we saw something frighting, abusive or dangerous. If you want to watch the entire series I have put the link below.

Singin' in the Rain

I got this awesome profile image from picklemylayout.com!

I'm singin' in the rain,
Just singin' in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
I'm happy again!
I'm laughing at clouds,
So dark, up above,
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love.
Let the stormy clouds chase
Ev'ryone form the place,
Come on with the rain,
I've a smile on my face.
I'll walk down the lane
With a happy refrain,
And singin', just singin'
In the rain

Easter Weekend 2008....

We had a busy Easter weekend....Does it seem like Easter hopped up on anyones else this year? It came and went before we could blink.

Saturday was "egg"trodinary we got up and went to an egg hunt in our neighborhood with our friends the Heugly's, we had a blast. The sun was out and it was so much fun to watch Landon collecting the eggs...that was before he figured out that they contained candy. He quickly started opening them one by one to get the treat inside. Jackson and Ayden had a great time hunting for eggs too. That night we dyed eggs as a family trying to keep Landon from cracking all of them to see what treat was inside and chucking it when he found nothing but "yuck" inside. It was a fun family time....

Sunday was a busy day, the boys awoke at the crack of dawn to see what the Easter bunny has brought them. We enjoyed honey baked ham, fruit and cinnamon apple French toast for breakfast and scampered off to get to church on time. After church we too a road trip to Grammy and Grammpy's in Woodland Hills. We were shocked that they still had 2 1/2 feet of snow still! We had a wonderful family dinner and I think I held baby Cohen almost the whole time...he is so dang cute! After the long ride home and baths we settled in to watch Enchanted which the Easter bunny brought. Jackson was the only one to make through the whole movie.....It was a wonderful Easter!

We are all so thankful for all of our family and friends near and far but most of all, for our Savior Jesus Christ who gave us such a wonderful gift that we remember this time of year and for his resurrection. It is hard with all of the fun things of Easter like, the Easter Bunny, candy, and eggs to take time to remember why we truly celebrate. I am so thankful that we had the opportunity go to church together as a family and remember this special gift.

Kids at the park........

Sometimes I like to be alone, take a walk, and go to the park. I enjoy watching the children run wild just before dark. It never fails to amaze me the energy they have, seems they can go forever, can't say the same for their moms or their dads. They jump, roll, yell, and scream, choose up sides to make a team. Kickball, jump rope, and hiding-seek, how do they find time to sneak a treat? They're on the go until almost dark, ah yes, the kids! I love the park.

We all had spring fever today so we went to the park! It was wonderful to feel the sun and be outside after the long cold winter. Heather and I had fun catching up and watching the kids all swing and slide! It is amazing all the energy they have..they can keep going and going and going. Ah to be a kid, wish I had only half of their energy!

Easter "good egg" of the day....

What happened to the egg when he was tickled too much?

He cracked up.

What do you call an egg who is on the computer too much?

An "egg" head! LOL

My good friend Liz and I had a adventurous day making string Easter eggs. I have made these in the past and thought it would be fun to do it again. We found fun colored stings to use and even got tangled a couple of times *gurrr*. It was a fun craft day...thanks Liz!!

An "EGG" cellent place to hide your Easter eggs!!

Landon found a great place to hide his eggs. He had so much fun playing with all the Easter eggs from Easter's past.....

All I Need to Learn about Life I Learned From the Easter Bunny!

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Walk softly and carry a big carrot. Everyone needs a friend who is all ears. There's no such thing as too much candy. All work and no play can make you a basket case. A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention. Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day. Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits. Some body parts should be floppy. Keep your paws off other people's jellybeans. Good things come in small sugarcoated packages. The grass is greener in someone else's basket. An Easter bonnet can cover the wildest hare. To show your true colors you have to come out of the shell. The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

I'm an Irish leprechaun, tiny and wee, I hide in the forest, behind a tree. If you ever catch me, you will see a wish I'll grant as quick as can be.

I WANT A HOLIDAY WITH A SCENE OF GREEN GREEN GREEN!

Since Ryan won't be home on St. Patrick's Day we had our annual GREEN celebration dinner on Sunday so we could enjoy it as a family! We had the traditional Irish corned beef, GREEN mashed potatoes and gravy, GREEN brussel sprouts (which mom only eats, but hey it's worth a shot), GREEN rolls, GREEN milk, and even GREEN creme brulee (I know it's not Irish it's just our favorite)!! It was so much fun and everyone looks forward to it!

Baby Bears....

Bears like honey that comes from bees. Bears like to nap under shady trees. Bears can be cuddly, or big and mean. My little Teddy Bear is the cutest I've seen. He's at my side when I'm happy or blue, here's to my Teddy Bear..........."I love you!"

We got to hold baby bears on Friday at our local sportman's warehouse. They were so cute! Ayden loved it but Landon was afraid. Too bad they grow up to be so dangerous.....

Have A Spectacular Sunday!!

Keep your faith in all beautiful things; in the sun when it is hidden, in the Spring when it is gone.

March roars in like a lion so fierce, The wind so cold, it seems to pierce. The month rolls on and spring draws near, and March goes out like a lamb so dear.

Who ordered the snow? We woke up this morning to see snow. I had packed away all the winter coats and gloves and had to go dig them out. We all had spring fever this week enjoying the 55 degree days :) It was so nice to see my johnny jump ups and spring bulbs in the snow....guess spring really isn't too far off.

Mom's Lesson Learned...

Mmmm...Chocolate!!!

Here I sit, eating chocolate chips. To quit eating chocolate, I need more than tips. There are so many kinds of chocolate, it's hard to choose. No matter which one you pick, you just can't lose. There is milk chocolate, sweet chocolate, and semi-sweet. I really like dark chocolate! It's such a treat!!! There is also mint chocolate & white chocolate -- I'm not through! There is cereal, cake, cookies, candy, pudding, pie & ice cream too. Chocolate tastes so rich, and sweet, and sometimes smooth. It can help make you feel better, or help your heartache sooth. There are many chocolate drinks. Have some, just for fun -- cappuccino, chocolate milk, mocha & cocoa -- try more than one! Is chocolate as good as a hug, or a pat on the back? What if I'm out of chocolate, when I have my next attack??!! I could just imagine that I'm eating chocolate, I suppose. If I eat lots of chocolate all day long, would I overdose? Where would I go... what would I ever do... without chocolate? Nothing can compare. Not even one word rhymes with chocolate! Do I take it for granted that I can always get more? I could eat chocolate candies, by the score! Is chocolate something to fear -- is it really a curse? Is it something to be avoided, or is it much worse? Or... is chocolate the eighth wonder? Is it a total delight? Something you savor for so long? Or love with all your might?

Surprize Visitors........

I had an amazing experience yesterday that I thought I would share...Yesterday morning I was putting away some baby things in the basement, I noticed a pretty envelope on the basement floor. I opened it and to my delight, it was a letter form my friend Heather. As I read my eyes filled with tears and my heart ached. It was a letter she wrote me while we were serving in young women's together 5 years ago. These words rang in my heart "You and your special little family were an answer to my prayers". Heather and I were friends from the first day we moved into or charming Holladay home and are often mistaken for sisters when were are together. We loved decorating for the every single holiday, going on diet coke runs and midnight shopping trips to Walmart. I think I miss the honking of her horn the most which she did every single time she past our house. I also remember a time when John, her cute husband came over to ask if Jackson could play :). As the day went along I found myself missing my special friend and her cute children which I could call my own. I remembered all the great times we have shared. We once got into a whip cream fight at girls camp......so fun! Yesterday at about 2 PM I was downstairs putting away blankets from an "fort" Ayden and Sammie had built and heard a voice in my kitchen say "Hello Landon". I rushed upstairs and to my surprise it was Heather! I hugged her not telling her that today she was an answer to my prayers. I am so thankful for the special friendship we share and for our Father in Heaven for always listening and answering our prayers no matter how small they my be.
BEST FRIENDS ARE THE SISTERS GOD FORGOT TO GIVE US

"Mommy I got a owie!!"

Our sweet little Landon runs everywhere, he never walks. He was running up and down the sidewalk yesterday without shoes and came over to me and stated "mommy I got an owie". I looked down and both of his big toes were bloody. We went in and cleaned them off but the "owie's" didn't slow him down one bit. He ran into his room and got me his shoes and shouted "play outside mom, see ya later"...I guess he learned something today...don't run outside without your shoes on :)

Ayden and Sammie's "Hiding Place"

Ayden and his bf Sammie turned my family room into a secret hiding place complete with pets and snacks. They had such a good time playing together yesterday. Ahhhh, to be a child again with a wonderful imagination....It remind me of one of my favorite childhood poems;

I'm hiding, I'm hiding and no one knows where; for all they can see is my toes and my hair and I just heard my father say to my mother -"But, darling, he must be somewhere or other; Have you looked in the inkwell?" and Mother said, "Where?" "In the INKWEL?"said Father. but I was not there. Then "Wait!" cried my mother — "I think that I see him under the carpet." but it was not me. "Inside the mirror's a pretty good place." said Father and looked, but saw only his face. "We've hunted," sighed Mother, "As hard as we could and I am so afraid that we've lost him for good." Then I laughed out aloud and I wiggled my toes and Father said —"Look, dear, I wonder if those toes could be his? There are ten of them, see?" and they WERE so surprised to find out it was me!

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

Need I say more...ok, I will. My sweet boys wanted to pop popcorn last night but quickly forgot about it and feel asleep. I put the bag in the pantry and thought nothing of it. Landon has learned to open the pantry and I often find him with a snack. This morning he found the bag of popcorn and this is the fun he had while I was doing the laundry. It was down his shirt and in his diaper...I guess he was saving some for later! Landon is my biggest patient tester, I put myself in time out before I went to clean it up. I heard rumbling in the kitchen and peeked in the hall and here was Landon hauling the vacuum into his room singing "clean up, clean up everybody clean up". Guess things aren't so bad after all........

Lacrosse Mania..

Jackson started to play Lacrosse this spring and it has been so fun to watch him learn a new sport. With the weather changing we are all getting spring fever and it's good for the boys to be able to play outside. We look forward to learning all about Lacrosse and updating you on his progress. It looks like it will be a lot of fun!
